The Department of Tourism has officially started the process of issuing permits for mountaineering during the spring season.
Rakesh Gurung, the Director of the Adventure Tourism and Mountaineering Branch within the Department, has reported that as of now, 33 individuals have successfully obtained permission to embark on climbing expeditions across four distinct mountains. These mountains include Mt Ama Dablam, Himlung, Jugal, and Mt Annapurna.
Furthermore, it has been announced that the issuance of permits for scaling the world's tallest peak, Mount Everest, is set to begin today. The Department has put in place arrangements to facilitate mountaineers in making their bookings conveniently through an online platform.
