The Prithvi Highway, obstructed by a landslide at Ghoptebhir of Chitwan, has been restored after 11 hours. The Highway had remained disrupted since 11:45 pm on Tuesday as the landslide occurred at Ichchhakamana rural municipality-4.

According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, the resumption follows the clearance of landslide depositions at 10:20 am. However, it took time to remove the landslide debris as it was significant in size. 

Meanwhile, a female cheetah was knocked down to death by a vehicle at Lebatar of Ichchhakamana-4. Division Forest Office, Chitwan's information officer Balkrishna Khanal, said the Office was informed about the animal's death in the accident by the police administration, and the Office managed the carcass. 
The animal might have been crossing the road with its mother when the vehicle hit it. Further investigation into the case is underway.
