The country has recorded 1,095 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours according to the Ministry of Health and Population

The country has recorded 1,095 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the number of new infections was detected in carrying out 13,817 tests. 

The infection rate of coronavirus is 19.2 percent in the country. There are 22,323 active cases across the nation. Ten districts have more than 500 active cases, while 19 communities have more than 200 active coronavirus cases. 

Similarly, 2,957 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of people recovered from the infection has reached 752,170 so far. The recovery rate is 95.8 percent.

Eight more people succumbed to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 11,048. According to the Ministry, 371 coronaviruses infected are receiving treatment at ICU, 108 are with ventilator support, 20,891 in-home isolation, 1,432 in institutional isolation, and 264 in quarantine.  

Likewise, 22,192 people got vaccinated against coronavirus today. Thus, a total of 6.215 million people have been administered the first dose of the vaccine, while 5.588 million have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19
