In preparation for the Dasain holiday season, a series of "Health Desks" have been introduced at the new bus park located in Gongbu, Kathmandu, aimed at providing essential health services to passengers embarking on their journeys.
The Metropolitan Police Team has taken the initiative to establish these health desks for the well-being of travelers. Deputy Superintendent of Police, Purnachandra Bhatt, from the Metropolitan Police, mentioned that services such as checking blood pressure, offering primary healthcare, and providing essential medications are readily available through these health desks.
Ward No. 26 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City has been entrusted with the responsibility of managing these health desks, where more than 500 passengers have already received healthcare assistance within two days. Furthermore, the Metropolitan Municipality team has also ensured the availability of drinking water for passengers at the new bus park.
Pankaj Malla, spokesperson of Lotse Multi-Purpose Pvt. Ltd., the entity responsible for the operation of the new bus park, reported that approximately 30,000 passengers depart from Kathmandu daily through this facility, with expectations of a surge in numbers in the coming days.
