For the development of tourism in the Namobuddha area, infrastructure development work including stairs, walls, entrances at two places, street lights, solar lights, stone printing, public toilets, etc. is being done. The city has almost reached the criteria to be listed as heritage, so it has been included in the city plan.
From Panauti through Shankhu valley and hiking from the tourist town Dhulikhel, you can see the picturesque snow range from Namobuddha. Buddhists consider it a major religious pilgrimage site.
