The monsoon would be active from coming Thursday. The monsoon would be active across the country from Thursday as the monsoon low-pressure system would gradually shift closer to the Tarai region.   

Meteorologist Raju Pradhananga said that light to moderate rainfall has been predicted at most of the places of the country due to the monsoon low-pressure system. Some places of Province 1, 2, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces would witness heavy rainfall on Thursday. 

Similarly, very heavy rainfall has been forecasted at some places of Province 1, 2, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces on Friday and Saturday. Hence, the Meteorological Forecasting Division has requested all to stay alert. 

The weather at most of the places across the country is generally too fully cloudy at present and light to moderate rainfall has been taking place at some places of Province 1, 2, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.   Meteorologist Pradhananga said that there is a possibility of heavy rainfall along with thunder at one or two places of Province 1, Bagmati and Lumbini provinces. 

As per the weather update shared by the Division, the minimum temperature is 19.8 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is 29.2 degrees Celsius in the Kathmandu Valley today.
