Medical supplies handed to local levels in Gorkha

The medical supplies have been provided to local levels in Gorkha to support efforts to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic.

The medical supplies have been provided to local levels in Gorkha to support efforts to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic. 

According to Barpak Sulikot Rural Municipality chair Bishnu Prasad Bhatta, the non-resident Gorkhali folks currently living in abroad collected fund and sent medical supplies worth amounting to Rs 800,000 to all 11 local levels in the district.  

The emergency medical supplies arranged by the Global Gorkha Society and Gorkha Society Japan were handed over to local levels amidst a programme here in Gorkha Municipality today. The medical support aided include facial masks, antigen testing kits and oxyimeter among others.  

Society chair Binaya Adhikari shared that the medical stuffs were provided to the local levels taking into consideration increasing infection rate.
