Kathmandu, Nepal – April 7, 2025 – On the occasion of World Health Day, Lemon Tree Premier, Budhanilkantha, distinctive premium five star property, located in the serene foothill of Shivapuri National Park, successfully organized a large-scale awareness event titled “Walk for Health”. The initiative aimed to inspire healthier lifestyles and draw attention to critical public health and environmental issues in Kathmandu.

Held under the global theme “Global Action for Universal Health”, the walk began at 06:30 AM from Narayan Chaur, Naxal and welcomed over 200 participants, including hotel associates, social influencers, media partners, and members of the local community. The route covered several key city landmarks and ended at the tranquil grounds of Lemon Tree Premier in Budhanilkantha.
The event underscored the pressing need to raise public health awareness and promote environmental responsibility—especially in light of Kathmandu's escalating air pollution problem, which poses serious risks to residents' well-being. By opting to walk during the event, participants supported eco-friendly and health-conscious habits, while also urging for improved air quality and more sustainable urban development.

“With Kathmandu facing growing air quality concerns, this walk served as both a wellness initiative and a collective voice for environmental responsibility,” said Manoj Kumar Thapa, General Manager of Lemon Tree Premier, Budhanilkantha. “We are proud to unite our team and community under a shared vision of health, sustainability, and social impact.”
A key contributor to the event’s success was HAMS Hospital, which ensured participant safety and readiness for any emergencies, throughout the walk. The walk traversed prominent city areas symbolizing a journey toward better urban health and united community action.
The event concluded with a healthy breakfast at Lemon Tree Premier, engraving the message that individual well-being and environmental health go hand in hand.
