With the start of jeep safari from Nawalpur to Chitwan National Park in Nawalparasi, tourism professionals here have become enthusiastic.
Tourism professionals who were previously conducting tourism activities in the intermediate community forests of the district along the Narayani River became enthusiastic after the jeep safari started in the park area from Nawalpur.
Last year jeep safaris were stopped even in the intermediate community forest. On Magh 11, Chitwan National Park has given permission for all hoteliers and businessmen to enter the park from Amaltari Post in Nawalpur.
Earlier, only Hotel Temple Tiger and Tharu Village were allowed to take tourists. Chief District Officer Krishna Prasad Lamsal, “Since Amaltari will be able to travel to Gaindakhasa, Devital, Tiger Tops route and crocodile breeding center, there will be an increase in economic and tourist activities in this area.
The Nawalpur Tourism Committee started the safari in the park on Saturday amid formal programs. 10 people will be allowed to enter the park in five jeeps per day from Nawalpur area. Hotel and tourism businesses will get permission on the basis of 'first come first service'. Elephant safaris are allowed only in intermediate areas and community forest areas.
“The number of tourists will increase when the number of tourists will increase when they take a jeep safari to the park area with boat sharing in Narayani,” said Dhaniram Guru, a tourism businessman.
"Earlier, the community forest located in the middle area was used to visit, now tourists can visit the park as well, so the number of tourists coming here has increased", he added.
