The lone daily flight out of Gautam Buddha International Airport has been terminated. Stating that no passengers are present.

After Jazeera Airways cancelled the flights scheduled for 26th, 27th and 28th of October, other passengers including passengers going for foreign employment were also affected. Jazeera did not fly even though the passengers stayed overnight at the Gautam Buddha International Airport and waited for the plane.

The government agencies here are equally to blame for the Jazeera flight being affected. The labour office established in Bhairahawa by the then labour Minister Kisan Shrestha has not worked yet.

“Jazeera made one flight on Saturday carrying only a few tourists among the passengers who gathered for three days.” Said General Manager of Gautam Buddha Airport Govinda Prasad Dahal

“The official representative of Jazeera Airways informed that the regular flight will be affected because the lease of the aircraft has expired and they are in the process of purchasing a new aircraft. Jazeera will not be able to fly regularly in the month of October and I assure that the flights will be regular after October.” He added.

“They had to reduce the number of flights due to lack of passengers. We were doing three flights in the first week and we got good passengers." Said the country manager of Jazeera Airways, Amit Nagarath._Rss
