The airline in partnership with Qatar Charity, led donation efforts that collected food for families in Kathmandu
To mark the Holy Month of Ramadan, Qatar Airways, in partnership with Qatar Charity, hosted a CSR event to provide for the needy in Kathmandu with necessary food items. The event that took place on May 11 at CW Party Palace, Kamaladi, Kathmandu.
As a result of the donations collected, each family received 25 kg of rice, 3 kg of sugar, 5 kg of wheat flour, 3 kg of chickpeas, 1 kg of salt, 1 kg of sunflower seeds and 5 lt of sunflower oil.
Qatar Airways Country Head Nepal, Mohamed El Emam said, “We are tremendously pleased to be able to help provide these much-needed items to families here in Kathmandu. This initiative, conducted in partnership with Qatar Charity, is just one of the ways in which we demonstrate our commitment to the people of Nepal. The Holy Month of Ramadan reminds us of the importance of giving to others, and we are delighted to have been able to have made a difference to the people here in the local community of Kathmandu.”
