The government has organized a strategic action plan for visit Nepal decade with a goal of incoming 3.5 million tourists and adding 1 million job opportunities.

The government has organized Strategic Action Plan for Visit Nepal Decade (2023-2032) with a goal to usher 3.5 million tourists and create an additional of 1 million jobs in the tourism industry of Nepal. The Action Plan has also stated to revive the tourism industry within the stage of pre-covid infection within two years. A five-member taskforce formed by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation below the management of tourism professional Prachandaman Shrestha submitted its report to Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Jiban Ram Shrestha on Thursday suggesting the authorities to conduct tourism promotional events in all seasons in the country.

As shared, the Action Plan has incorporated integrating Nepal’s geographic, natural, environmental, social, cultural and religious diversities with the tourism sector and declaring unique touristic websites on the premise of tourism feasibility whilst developing infrastructures in this area.

Likewise, public, private, and community sector’s cooperation and partnership is highlighted in the Action Plan for the promotion and development of the tourism sector.

 "The concept of tourism decade was proposed identifying the necessity to revive tourism in a long-lasting way after the country’s tourism sector endured a huge loss in a span of 3 years due to the COVID-19 pandemic," Minister Shrestha stated.

 "The confidence that the Visit Nepal Decade might help set up Nepal as a leading vacation spot within the worldwide tourism market," He added._Rss
