In the current fiscal year, eight suspension bridges are built in Baglung’s Nishikhola Rural Municipality

Eight suspension bridges are under construction in Nishikhola Rural Municipality of Baglung in the current fiscal year. In the previous fiscal year, seven suspension bridges were constructed over different streams here.

Construction of the bridges has started after completing survey-related works. All bridges would be built within coming mid-July. Construction works are gaining momentum to meet the target. Suspension bridges are under construction in wards 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7 of the rural municipality.

The rural municipality would replace the deteriorating bridges and intensify campaigns to install new ones. The bridges are expected to contribute to the improvement of the livelihood of the local people.

“Eight bridges are being constructed with 87 percent investment of federal government and 13 percent of Nisikhola rural municipality,” said the Engineer at the rural municipality, Samundra Shahi._Rss
