Devotees and devotees are urged not to come to the holy religious shrine Devghat on the occasion of the festival. The Devghat Area Development Committee has requested not to come as the risk of infection of Kovid-19 remains.
Dhiran Babu Ghimire, executive director of the committee, issued a statement on Wednesday urging people not to attend Haribodhini Ekadashi, Balachaturdashil and other fairs. The statement said that despite the tradition of large gatherings of devotees at Devghat Dham on various festivals of religious and cultural significance, the risk of coronavirus infection remained and the government's policy of not crowding the festivals and celebrations remained the same. It has been requested that everyone should consider the situation and stay at home and celebrate according to tradition.

Most of the elderly people live in Devghat Dham. Chairman of the committee Shivaraj Poudel said that a difficult situation could arise if the infection spreads to the elderly in cold weather. According to him, as few people as possible have been requested to attend the funeral. Devghat Dham attracts a large number of devotees on the holy days of Aunsi, Purnima, Ekadashi, Maghe Sankranti, Balachartudashi, Shivaratri and Saune Sankranti.
