The UNICEF Nepalgunj has provided free health materials to the coronavirus infected children, teachers and employees in Namkha rural municipality in the northern part of Humla district. UNICEF supported health materials to the 56 coronavirus infected people including the 49 students at Mahabouddha Secondary School and the Gumba School at Yalbang on Tuesday.

The health materials were also provided to five elderly persons at Yalbang. The materials include blankets, sanitizers, masks, gloves, thermometer and oral rehydration packets, the rural municipality chairman Bishnu Bahadur Lama said. Two hundred units of PPEs to protect from COVID-19, one thousand packets of Jeevanjal oral rehydration salt, six packets of toys and games materials and 60 blankets. Similarly, the 49 infected children who are in home isolation have been provided with various toys and playthings so that they would not be bored. UNICEF has also provided equipment and materials required for the local birthing center, free of cost.
