Cultural festivals: key to promote harmony and national unity

Gandaki Province Chief Amik Sherchan has wished for the peace, prosperity, and progress of all Nepali people at home and abroad on the occasion of Gurung community's cultural festival Lhosar-Lhochhar, Kirant community's Udhauli festival, and Newar community's Yamari Punhi and Jyapu Day. 

In a message of best wishes today, Chief Sherchan said the cultural festivals have played a crucial role in enhancing mutual tolerance, goodwill and national unity and wished all for encouragement for peace, stability, and prosperity across the country. 

The Tamu community has been celebrating the Lhosar-Lhochhar a new year.
