A total of 11 people succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 11,372 to date, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

Similarly, 666 new COVID-19 cases were detected in the past 24 hours. The new cases were confirmed through the 12,020 samples tested during the same period, said the Ministry in a virtual routine press meet here today.

Likewise, 622 infected ones recovered in a day which puts the recovery caseload to 788,630 so far. The recovery rate stands at 97.3 percent. 

Currently, there are 10,296 active cases of COVID-19 in the country. Meanwhile, 73,427 people were vaccinated today alone. As of today, 8,632,293 people received the first dose of vaccine against the deadly infection while 6,709,905 were fully vaccinated, the Ministry shared.
