A total of 708 new cases of coronavirus were reported in the past 24 hours across the country. This was revealed in 9,376 sample tests carried out, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. With this, the number of active cases of coronavirus in the country reached 10,946. 

According to the Ministry, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, and Kaski have more than 500 active cases each while 14 other districts have more than 200 active cases each. The Ministry said that Mustang and Mugu have no active cases of the virus.   

Likewise, the Ministry stated that 932 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours. The rate of recovery has climbed to 97.2 percent.

Meanwhile, 11 persons died of the virus in the past 24 hours. So far, the country reported 11,337 COVID-19 deaths. The Ministry said that a total of 58,853 people received COVID-19 vaccines on Friday.

So far, 8,594,274 people received the first dose of vaccines while 6,546,237 others are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus.
