A total of 662 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the country in the past 24 hours. At a regular press conference held at the Ministry of Health and Population today, Ministry Spokesperson Dr. Krishna Prasad Poudel said that the cases were revealed in 8,426 tests carried out in various laboratories across the country.

With the new addition, the total number of active cases of COVID-19 stands at 11,579 as of today. Four districts, including Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, and Kaski, have more than 500 active cases of COVID-19, Dr. Poudel said. On the other hand, Mustang and Mugu districts have zero infection. 

Likewise, during the same period, 758 recovered while 13 people succumbed to the coronavirus. So far, 11,318 people have died from the infection.
