The Martyr's Garden is going to add a new attraction to the tourist destination Sole danda. The goal is to complete the park, which was started last year. Statues of Martyred Devotees Mathema, Gangalal Shrestha, Shukraraj Shastri and Dasharath Chand will be placed in the park under construction in Tamankhola Village Municipality-4.

Similarly, the village municipality plans to keep statues of four people who were martyred in Tamankhola during the 10-year armed struggle. Ward Chairman Udim Bahadur Chhantyal informed that land selection, fencing, rest area and other structures were constructed for the park from a budget of Rs. 500,000 last fiscal year.

The village municipality has allocated Rs. 700,000 for the park in the current fiscal year. "This year, the work of placing statues and making gardens is done," he said. He said that the structure will be constructed in the area around the park in a tourist-friendly manner.

Toilets and drinking water have already been provided. Local resources and skills will be used to build the infrastructure. A park is being constructed in honor of the martyrs, said village chairman Jok Lal Budha.

"The Martyr's Garden is also linked to the tourism development of Soledanda," he said. Located at an altitude of 2630 meters, the natural beauty of Soledanda is enviable. Soledanda is a suitable destination for observing the mountain range and sunrise/sunset. The beauty of Soledanda is further revealed when the rhododendron flowers bloom in Chaitra and Baisakh.  The number of domestic tourists has been increasing recently due to easy access to roads. People even go there for picnics, night camps and hiking.

The municipality has also started a feasibility study of a footpath connecting Dhorepatan via Dudlek-Soledanda-Bayali Dhuri-Putha of Tarakhola village through Ghodabandhe of Kathekhola village.

Soledanda, which borders Myagdi's Malika VDC-4, can be easily accessed from both the districts. Soledanda can be reached after a 115 km motor journey from Baglung district headquarters. The distance from Beni, the headquarters of Myagdi, is still short. Even after reaching the road, there is a lack of other tourist infrastructure.
