At the 'Congratulations and Tribute' program hosted by the Tourist Bus Association of Nepal (TIWAN) on Tuesday, NATTA President Kumarmani Thapalia announced plans to initiate the construction of a tourist bus park in Kathmandu. President Thapalia stated, "We are currently in discussions with the Pashupati Area Development Fund regarding the operation of tourist buses from the Pashupati area. We are confident that the issue of the tourist bus park will be resolved within a couple of months."
President Thapalia also expressed gratitude to TIWAN for its recent efforts to advance the use of technology for tourist bus ticketing. He emphasized the importance of establishing disaster funds to address challenges in the tourism sector during times of crisis.
TIWAN Chairman Krishna Acharya highlighted the need for collaboration between TIWAN and NATTA to enhance the tourism bus sector, which he described as the backbone of the economy. He stressed the importance of ensuring that tourist buses are organized, safe, and dignified.
The event honored the officers and members of the working committee elected from the 57th general assembly and 24th session of NATTA.
