The Bardiya National Park (BNP), which remained closed for a long time owing to COVID-19, has allowed safaris by adopting strict safety and health protocols. Travelers from the country and abroad were banned in the BNP since March 20 because of the coronavirus pandemic.

However, visitors are permitted for safari only on the route the BNP administration has determined. Only 60 percent of passengers are allowed per vehicle to be used for safari, while there will be no more than four in a group to roam in the park on foot, according to assistant conservation officer, Maheshwor Niraula.

There are 29 modern hotel and resorts inside BNP. More than 3.50 billion has been invested in modern hotel and resorts.
