The Baglung-Pokhara section of the Madhyapahari highway will be closed for eight hours daily. For the upgradation of the Baglung-Pokhara section, traffic will be stopped and the work will be carried forward.
It has been reported that with the commencement of the widening of the Baglung-Pokhara section of the Madhyapahari Highway Project, the work will be stopped on the highway to speed up the work.
According to the project, every day from 11 am to 3 pm and from 9 pm to 1 am, the work of the project will be accelerated by stopping the vehicles. Arrangements have been made for the stopped vehicles to operate half an hour apart.
Under the Pokhara-Baglung Highway, road upgrading is currently being done from Harichok to Yamdi Bridge in Pokhara. A contract was signed with Motidan Construction Pvt. Ltd for the construction of that section. Vehicles plying on the road have been asked to use an alternative route.
The general public will be affected as Baglung, Parbat, Myagdi and Mustang are the main highways that connect the provincial capital Pokhara and the country's capital Kathmandu with the big cities of the country. Thousands of vehicles travel on this road section every day.
“50 meters from Chauwari towards Hemja, because the height of the hill is high, as the cutting of the hill is going on, the traffic operation has been stopped keeping in mind the road safety,” said Narayan Dutt Bhandari, the head of the Madhyapahari Lokmarg Project Office, Kushma._Rss
