Arun Danda festival has started for six days for the promotion of tourists.

Arun Danda Mahotsav has started at Arun Danda (Chin Lung) in the local Pauwadung rural municipality. The six-day festival was started to promote local agricultural products as well as religious and tourist areas.

The festival, which started on Thursday, will be held for six days with the basic slogan of 'Pauwadung village celebration, our identity, cultural heritage, internal and external tourism festival'.

In the festival, local and national artists have presented food dishes of different ethnic groups, agricultural exhibition, various customs and culture exhibitions to target the visitors. According to the rural municipality, a detailed project is being prepared for the development of Arun Danda.

Since the development work is going on here, the festival has been organized for further publicity, said.

The locals are excited about the festival. At the festival, there are stalls of materials for promoting tourism, exhibitions reflecting the customs of different languages ​​and castes, local food and agricultural products. Gyanendra Rai of rural municipality-5 Sanodumma in Pauwadung said that this will also help the agricultural products here. From Arun Danda, which is 2,300 meters above the sea level, one can observe the beautiful valley along with the view of the mountains.

"The festival has been organized to increase the internal income of the village and develop the tourist area, and the rural municipality has allocated Rs. ten lakh for this," said Navin Bhattarai, chief administrative officer of the rural municipality.

"We are engaged in the development of religious and tourist areas in our rural municipality. According to the DPR, work has been carried out in 80 ropani areas for the greater development of Arun Danda.
