A virtual concert to honor all aid and health workers

KATHMANDU

World Humanitarian Day (WHD) is celebrated on August 19, every year to honor humanitarian efforts worldwide by paying tribute to humanitarian aid workers.

This year, COVID-19 has been the biggest challenge to humanitarian operations around the world. Three organizations, Aloft Kathmandu Thamel, a brand committed to support music through Live@Aloft, Kutmba, an instrumental folk band promoting and preserving Nepalese music, Metal for Nepal, a non- profit humanitarian project together are hosting a virtual concert to honor all aid and health workers who are real life heroes on August 19, 2020 from 18:00 pm till 19:00 pm via Facebook and Instagram.

Even during these unprecedented and challenging times, the team has collaborated to spread positivity, hope, and awareness through music and believe that together we can fight and defeat the Covid-19 pandemic.

Vikram Singh, General Manager at Aloft Kathmandu Thamel said, Aloft Kathmandu Thamel, linked with Shanti Seva, believes in “Community before us” and has been actively involved in various CSR activities by helping old age homes, orphanage houses, feeding animals, differently-abled people and many more. We are extremely happy to join hands together and looking forward to hearing some great music. Lastly, we would like to thank the people who have committed their lives to help others and urge everyone support the cause.”
