40 teams are permitted to climb 9 different mountains along with Mt. Everest.

The Department of Tourism has permitted 343 climbers to climb various mountains for the spring expedition. In a press release, the department stated that 40 teams are permitted to climb 9 different mountains along with Mt. Everest. 
20 groups with 151 men and 41 women have been permitted to climb Mt. Everest until 7th April and the number is expected to grow with an ease in permits. 
The other mountains with permits issued are Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Lotshe, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Pumori and Mt. Tukuche.
The expedition permits were firstly granted to a team including Bahrain’s Prince Sheikh Mohammed Hamad Mohammed Al Khalifa to climb Mt Everest with 13 Bahraini and three British climbers.
The Department of tourism has said that they have collected USD 2,359,300 as the royalty of these expedition permits.
