The country has recorded 4,897 Covid-19 infection cases in the past 24 hours including 2,047 in the Kathmandu Valley alone.

The country has recorded 4,897 Covid-19 infection cases in the past 24 hours including 2,047 in the Kathmandu Valley alone. Seventeen infected people have died in the past 24 hours and 773 have got over the infection, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. The new infection cases were from 14,834 Covid-19 tests, said the Ministry. Of the total infected, there are 30,209 active infection cases so far. 

Of those infected in the Valley, Kathmandu district witnessed 1,464, Lalitpur 351 and Bhaktapur 232. With the latest figure of death toll from the deadly virus, the death toll has reached 3,211.
