The country has recorded 1,282 new COVID-19 cases and seven infection-related deaths in the past 24 hours. The infection figures were revealed from a total of 15,488 COVID-19 tests, according to the latest update released by the Ministry of Health and Population on Monday. 

Presently, the number of active infection cases stands at 18,848. Until now, the number of recovery cases is 762,416 with 1,262 in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate is 96.2 percent. The death toll from the virus has so far hit 11,103 with seven deaths today, the Ministry said. 

Of the infected ones, 385 have been admitted to intensive care units (ICU) while 125 are on ventilator support. Similarly, 17,535 are in home isolation, 1,313 in institution-isolation and 256 at quarantine facilities. On Monday, 312,874 people were vaccinated against the deadly infection. So far, 6,165,052 have been administered COVID-19 vaccines while 6,793,456 have received the first dose.
