Of the 11,694 locals who had returned home from India and other districts in the country since the lockdown, 10,000 have returned home after completing their stay in the quarantine.

The number of people staying in quarantine centres in Dang District has gone down drastically.

Of the 11,694 locals who had returned from India and other districts in the country since the lockdown, 10,000 have returned home after completing their stay in the quarantine. Among the quarantined, 500 were found infected with coronavirus and admitted to isolation centres in different medical facilities.

Presently, only, 1,568 people remain quarantined, according to the District Health Office information officer Kamal Chand. They are observing the mandatory quarantine in different municipalities across the district.

As of today, a total of 9,519 people in the district were tested for coronavirus through the PCR method and 3,293 through the RDT method. Of them, 8,957 tested negative while 562 were found positive to the deadly virus.
