The Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) has stated that it was active in preserving heritage, and religious and cultural sites in the area.

Office bearers of the Trust have briefed about the ongoing progress and programmes including the PADT master plan in the meeting of the International Relations Committee under the House of Representatives today.

The officials have complained that they were facing hardship implementing the projects in a smooth manner due to lack of human resources, obstructive provisions in the public procurement act, provision of taking permission from Kathmandu metropolitan city, Guthi Sansthan, archeology department, among other.

They shared that Rs 130 million was used in the last fiscal year in reconstruction projects and construction of gardens and waiting stations for the pilgrims and for trace mapping for Bagmati, Guheshwari-Gaurighat embankment. It was further shared that the detail project report of the embankment bid was also prepared.
