Bhava, an exhibition to showcase one’s emotions through art, is currently on display at the Classic Gallery in Chakupat, Patan. The art exhibition was inaugurated on September 20 and will be on display till September 24. The art exhibition by Kathmandu University students highlights group paintings, photography, and multimedia displays.
The chief guest, Ekku Maya Pun, acting dean of Kathmandu University's School of Arts, formally inaugurated the art exhibit, "Bhava."

The exhibition featured the artwork of Anish Abdul, Ayush Maharjan, Binisha Maharjan, Bipin Shrestha, Sarana Shrestha, Niki Maharjan, Shristi Pulami, Sudikshya Dangol, Sujal Khatri, Shivani Bhattachan, Sujana B.K., Sayuj Dhar Tuladhar, Rajani Gajmir, Swastik Acharya, Om Prakash Shrees, Sagun Thapa, Manu K Chaudhary, Suraj Shilpakar, and Bivas Rai.
The primary objective of the art exhibition presented by the Kathmandu University Students Art League (KUSAL), a group of students pursuing a bachelor's degree in fine arts at Kathmandu University, is to accentuate shades, sensations, and emotions via a multitude of innovative artworks as entitled ‘Bhava’. The artworks were depicted in various formats and techniques, incorporating oil, acrylic, photography, assemblages, animation, printmaking, and much more.
Art courtesans of all demographics and professions meticulously scrutinised and admired individual artwork. The exhibition gave the artists a platform to present their creations to a mass audience and an avenue to solicit feedback and interact in conversation with peers beyond their academic and social networks.
The exhibition is displayed in a two-storey art gallery at Classic Gallery, Chakupat. The first floor featured photographs, craftwork, and paintings, with each layer of the paintings in the exhibition evoking anxiety and spontaneity and colours expressing emotions and mental states. Each canvas was a replica of emotion from a different plethora. The photographers anticipated visitors to perceive an alternative reality, analyse the surroundings, and revive the captured moment with their fantasies. Entertaining animation is on display in the basement, along with a wax artwork replicating hands with wax with fragility to craft the emotion. In the confines of the square room with the artworks, artists endeavoured to create a strikingly different universe from the one we live in.
