On the occasion of Chaite Dashain, the temple of Trishuli Devi in the Jaleswarnath Mahadev temple complex of Mahottari has been opened to the public.
This temple, which is opened only during Asoj and Chaitra Dashain every year, was opened today on the occasion of Chaitra Shukla Pratipada for the worship of the goddess and for public viewing. The temple has been thronged with pilgrims since early this morning.
The temple of Trishuli Goddess Bhavani holding the Trishuli is not open throughout the year so no one can see or touch her idol throughout the year. But during the Dashain of Asoj and Chaitra, there is a provision that the priest will perform her special worship, common people will be allowed to have darshan of the mother and they will also be allowed to make offerings.
Mahottari of Trishuli Devi of Jaleswarnath Mahadev Temple is famous in Sitamarhi and Madhubani districts of India including Dhanusha, Sirha, and Sarlahi districts. Thousands of devotees come here from different districts and different places in India for darshan at Trishuli Devi temple._Rss
