Due to the domestic visitors who come to enjoy it, the Rupse waterfall is growing in popularity.

Annapurna rural municipality-3 in the Dana area of North Myagdi is an attractive place on the Annapurna cycle path, Rupse waterfall is becoming more and more popular due to the domestic tourists who come to enjoy it.

Due to domestic tourists coming from different districts to enjoy this waterfall under the Beni-Jomsom-Kurla road section (Kaligandaki Corridor), the crowd has started to increase in the waterfall. Most of the tourists who visit Mustang spend some time at Rupse Falls.

Even though the Rupse waterfall, which was damaged due to infrastructure construction, was damaged by a flood last year, after the risk of corona infection decreased, this waterfall has returned to its old rhythm due to the tourists who came to enjoy Rupse. The world's deepest and most beautiful Rupse Falls are located in the same place. Although the waterfall and Andha galchi are of tourist importance, the locals have not been able to take proper benefit from them. Local residents said that they were not able to benefit from allowing tourists to visit for free.

Tourists who came to enjoy the waterfall stopped their cars on the road and became enthralled by the view of the waterfall, so the road is also blocked. Tourists are demanding that there should be a well-arranged footpath to reach the waterfall and a view tower for observation, as well as proper accommodation and toilets for the observers.

In 1975, a photograph of the Rupse waterfall was affixed on a 75-paisa postage stamp, but the stamp is no longer in circulation. Dana Village of Sawik has built a footpath and a view tower leading to the main part of the waterfall and Andha galchi. There is a possibility that the waterfall can be made a tourist destination even from a religious point of view.

“The rural municipality should prioritize the budget allocation for the infrastructure development of basic needs and bring a plan to keep the beauty of Rupse alive. Believing that the waterfall is the abode of Kancha Bhumedeva, every year in the month of May, the local people sacrifice a goat.” Said Former head of Annapurna Rural Municipality Kya Dam Bahadur Pun._Rss
