The China Sales Mission is an important step towards increasing Chinese tourist inflows to Nepal and contributing to Nepal's economic development

The Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) regularly organizes the China Sales Mission to promote Nepali tourism in China. This year, the mission will take place from April 14th to 21st in three major commercial cities in China, namely Chengdu, Kunming, and Beijing, with the cooperation of the Nepal Tourism Board and the Nepal Embassy in Beijing. The mission is led by Mr. Varun Mehta, the Vice President of NATTA, who will coordinate with local tour operators, media outlets, and government agencies to showcase Nepal's tourist attractions.

The team consists of 37 participants, including travel/tour businessmen, hoteliers, and trekking agencies, who will present Nepal's tourism offerings in various events and presentations. The Nepali Embassy in Beijing is also supporting the promotional program of NATTA to attract Chinese tourists to Nepal.

China has become an important source of tourists for Nepal due to its national reform and open-door policy, and the cultural and geographical similarities between the two countries. However, the Covid-19 pandemic has affected the tourism industry worldwide, including in Nepal. Therefore, NATTA has been organizing international sales missions, marts, and exhibitions to revive tourism in Nepal.

The China Sales Mission is an important step towards increasing Chinese tourist inflows to Nepal and contributing to Nepal's economic development. It is expected that the mission will be successful in attracting Chinese tourists to Nepal and strengthening Nepal's efforts to revive tourism in the coming days.
