On the occasion of the 5th Foundation Day of Karnali State Assembly held at Birendranagar Surkhet, the local women of Chayannath Rara Municipality-12 Mugu presented a message song on the stage in their traditional clothes.

Due to increasing modernity and urbanization, the original culture here has gradually started to disappear. The tradition of Karnali's past rich in language, literature, art, and culture has reached an endangered state today. The older generation is worried because it cannot be protected, promoted, and promoted.

Even when the originality is becoming anonymous, no one of the new generations seems to worry that much. Stakeholders seem to be oblivious to the conservation of cultural heritage that is worth following. Today, modernity has also touched the village. The roof, cloth, and food of the locals are all changing. Basically, the influence of western culture has also affected the village.

After the original traditions, customs, and culture started disappearing, now Mugali women are moving towards reviving the cultural traditions of Karnali. On the occasion of the 5th Foundation Day of Karnali State Assembly held at Birendranagar Surkhet on Saturday, the local women of Chayannath Rara Municipality-12 Mugu presented a message song on the stage in their traditional clothes.

After the people gave their votes and sent them, they suggested the members of the provincial assembly act in their own interests through a song. The message given by those women who came from Mugu to Birendranagar, the capital of Karnali province, impressed everyone including provincial chief Tilak Periyar, chief minister Rajkumar Sharma, speaker Nanda Gurung, party leaders, ministers, provincial assembly members, chief secretaries and secretaries of various ministries.

Those who wear modern clothes and forget their identity and culture are reminded of the special history by presenting Deuda songs in traditional clothes. The traditional dress of Karnali has been made public with the intention of reviving the special culture and civilization that has a proud history.

The cultural performance was done by wearing Doutho, Cholo, Ghangro, Patuka, Jalya, Moon, Nani Mala, Thuli Mala, Chapki, Furko, Bala, and Hatya seals. Clothing is our property, identity, and history. It explains our language, culture, dress, and lifestyle. It is linked to our existence and life history.

There is a need to research and study the preservation of culture and archaeological heritage that give an idea of the history before 1846. The Sinja civilization is considered to be one of the best civilizations in the world. To understand its importance and legacy, the Nepal government should bring a separate law related to it.

The traditional dress reflects Karnali's art, culture, religion, struggle, self-respect, hard work, and heroism. Culture is also our capital. It speaks of our originality and reality.

"It is not easy for anyone to wear this dress now. Nowadays young men and women wear pants and t-shirts. It is also torn in places. They don't feel ashamed to walk in such clothes. They feel ashamed when it comes to their speech and language. It shows that the love of motherhood and motherhood is disappearing.” Said Shobha Budha, who participated in the program.

“The team dressed in traditional clothes was brought from Mugu to Birendranagar Surkhet to promote local art, culture, and costumes. He says that it has exposed the dress, lifestyle, and special culture of Karnali which has reached an endangered state,” said Vasant Bagchan, Manager of Monalisa Media Industry Mugu._Rss
