The Nepal Association of Rafting Agencies (NARA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Cooperatives, Bagmati Province, and the Nepal Tourism Board, is hosting the 23rd Himalayan White Water Challenge on January 4–5, 2025, at the thrilling Bhotekoshi and Balefi rivers in Sindhupalchok

The challenge, scheduled for January 4–5, 2025 (Paush 20–21, 2081 B.S.), will take place at the renowned Bhotekoshi and Balefi rivers in Sindhupalchok. First launched in 2002, this annual event has become a flagship platform to showcase Nepal's world-class white water rafting opportunities, attracting adventurers, athletes, and water sports enthusiasts from across the globe.

As a significant branch of Nepal’s tourism industry, NARA has been working strategically with local government bodies and organizations to develop, expand, protect, and promote Nepal’s adventure travel business. This year’s challenge aims to further boost tourism in the Bagmati Province while emphasizing the sustainability and safety of adventure sports.

Known for their thrilling rapids and breathtaking natural beauty, the Bhotekoshi and Balefi rivers offer the perfect setting for this international-standard competition.
