An 11-month-old child, who had been suffering from COVID-19, has been discharged after recovery. The child would be kept in-home isolation for a week after his discharge on Monday.

An 11-month-old child suffering from COVID-19 has been discharged from the Mahakali Hospital here after recovery. The child, Sushank Sunar, from Shuklaphanta municipality-11 of Kanchanpur District, had been kept in an isolation ward of the hospital for 14 days for treatment, Hospital's officiating medical superintendent Dr Hari Kumar Shrestha said.

Dr Shrestha said the boy would be in-home isolation for a week after his discharge on Monday. He said the toddler's parents have been given all health safety information to be followed during the home isolation.

The hospital management committee president, Krishna Dutta Joshi had given a farewell to the child and his mother. At present 30 people infected with coronavirus are receiving treatment at the hospital.
