This temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga in her boar form. The temple’s origins are tied to a legend of kindness and fate. Long ago, a goddess, disguised as an old woman, roamed a city now hidden beneath the lake. Only one elderly couple showed her compassion, offering her food and shelter. In return, she warned them of a coming flood, guiding them to safety on a nearby hill. After the waters rose, they built a shrine to honor her, which later became this iconic temple.
