Tourism entrepreneurs have urged the government to help revive public movement with adequate safety measures.

In a meeting with tourism minister Yogesh Bhattarai, they discussed the resumption of tourism business following the safety protocols.

They even complained that the previous decision of resuming domestic and international flights from August 17 was postponed, which has created uncertainty in the sector.

Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) Chair Achyut Guragain said that tourism services needs to be resumed as they are ready to follow the health protocol. He said the government needs to set up PCR tests at Tribhuvan International Airport and think about resumption of flights as soon as possible.

The delegation also expressed worry over the deteriorating economy due to prolonged lockdown throughout the country.
