The Kanchenjunga Conservation Area, famous for its natural beauty and the tall Kanchenjunga peak, is now open for both local and foreign tourists as spring begins

The Kanchenjunga Conservation Area, famous for its natural beauty and the tall Kanchanjungha peak, is now open for both local and foreign tourists as spring begins. From March to early June, people come here to enjoy activities like hiking and climbing in the stunning surroundings.

Recently, the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area Management Council reported that a lot of tourists, including 60 foreigners, arrived at the Ghunsa area. They also said that hotels along the trekking paths are now open to accommodate these visitors.

This year, already 650 foreigners have visited the area during the first part of the season. We don't have records for how many local tourists have come. Last year, 439 foreigners visited the area.

To support the increasing number of tourists, there are now 52 hotels along the trekking paths leading to the base camp of Kanchenjunga. These hotels are very important for the local communities because tourism is the main way they make money.

As more and more people visit Kanchenjunga, it's really important to make sure we're taking care of the environment. We need to find a balance between letting people enjoy the area and protecting its natural beauty and wildlife.
