The Shuklaphanta tourism festival has started in Kanchanpur. To attract tourists to Shuklaphanta National Park, the Bhimdatta Municipality has organized a tourism festival.
The festival started with the basic slogan of 'Economic Tourism Prosperity, Tourism Development, and Infrastructure'. Inaugurating the festival.
The local government should bring a program in collaboration with the private sector to promote tourism. Government should provide easy transportation and other facilities to tourist spots.
Emphasis should be placed on the development of tourism infrastructure to attract tourists. During the 10-day festival, there will be a tour of the park, discussions on tourism promotion, secondary level oratory on conservation and tourism, Krishnasara viewing, and discussions on internal tourism promotion.
“The festival was organized to promote tourism in Shuklaphanta National Park. We have many tourist destinations here, but we have not been able to take enough benefit from them. I believe that this festival will help in the development of tourism here. The tourism business here will also flourish if big projects such as Dry Port, Mahakali Corridor, Majhagaon Airport, and Daijichela Industrial Area are implemented here,” said Mayor Padam Bogti.
“The park should be developed as a tourist destination. We have Shuklaphanta, where rare animals are found around the world, it is necessary to promote it and develop it as a destination for domestic and foreign tourists.
