Senior leader Paudel spearheaded the effort to rescue sick visitors

Ramchandra Paudel, a senior member of the Nepali Congress, helped to rescue injured mountain climbers at the Himlung Himal base camp in the Narpa Bhumi rural municipality of the Manang Himalayan district.

Himlung Himal base camp is at an altitude of 4,600 metres above sea level. Himlung Himal base camp is also known as 'Curry Coupler Base Camp' or 'New Base Camp'.

Surya Geylang Magar, Director of Himalaya Fitness and Wellness Center Kathmandu rescued Krishna Thapamagar, Hari Budhamagar and Nanda Budha Magar, who became unwell prompted by the political figurehead Paudel, informed. Magar claimed that after the climber became ill, he quickly alerted the top officials, coordinated with the ministers of home affairs, defence, and the prime minister, and immediately rescued the ailing traveller.

 “The former Commander-in-Chief of the Nepalese Army, Rajendra Kshatri, also helped in the immediate rescue work.” Said Surya Magar. 

 “Three of the 30 people who went to climb the mountain a few weeks ago were seriously ill and were taken to Kathmandu today by Nepalese army helicopter.” He added.

 “As soon as I received the news that the patient was stranded, I telephoned the relevant agency for rescue.” said Senior leader Poudel._ Rss
