The Pathibhara temple in Taplejung district, which remained closed to devotees for the past five months, has reopened for devotees from today. The temple was closed, citing fear of the COVID-19 spread.

Pathibhara Area Development Committee said that the temple was reopened because of the declining threat of coronavirus and the beginning of the primary season for Pathibhara visits.

However, the devotees are asked to follow health protocol as the risk of COVID-19 is not over yet. The Committee issued a press statement that the temple was reopened for homage, worship, meditation, and prayer.
