The Embassy of Pakistan held its Annual Alumni Get-Together on Sunday at Hotel Aloft, Kathmandu, to honor Nepali graduates from Pakistani educational institutions. The event recognized graduates who received scholarships under the Pakistan Technical Assistance Programme (PTAP) in fields such as MBBS, BDS, D. Pharmacy, and BS Engineering, as well as others who studied Mass Communication and Agriculture.

Bidya Bhattarai, Minister for Education, Science and Technology, attended as Chief Guest, along with prominent academicians and social figures who have strengthened relations between Pakistan and Nepal.
Minister Bhattarai praised the friendship between Nepal and Pakistan and thanked Pakistan for its support in technical education. She highlighted the contributions of Nepali graduates to Nepal's progress and expressed hope for continued support from Pakistan.
Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, Abrar H. Hashmi, emphasized that the scholarships reflect the strong ties between the two countries, noting that Nepali students often form lasting friendships in Pakistan. He assured ongoing support for scholarships and student exchanges, including a recently introduced fee-free visa for easier travel to Pakistan.
