Nepal Tourism Board celebrated its 27th anniversary with a grand programme reaffirming its commitment to promoting Nepal through partnership, sustainability, and global tourism outreach.

The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) celebrated its 27th anniversary with a grand and dignified programme at the Blue Pavilion, Nepal Police Club, Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu. The special occasion brought together honourable ministers, distinguished delegates, diplomatic missions, tourism entrepreneurs, and esteemed stakeholders to mark 27 Years of Partnership in promoting Nepal’s tourism sector.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome to all excellencies and guests. Deepak Raj Joshi, Chief Executive Officer of NTB, delivered the opening address, presenting a comprehensive overview of NTB’s journey—highlighting key achievements, current initiatives, and strategic plans for the future. He elaborated on NTB’s continuous efforts in branding and promoting Nepal through innovative campaigns, international partnerships, and market expansion strategies.

Adding ceremonial significance to the celebration, Anil Kumar Sinha, along with honoured guests and members of the NTB Board, jointly lit the traditional panas, officially inaugurating the programme.

Santosh Bikram Thapa, President of the NTB Employee Organisation, addressed the gathering, recognising the dedication, teamwork, and professionalism of NTB staff in strengthening Nepal’s tourism industry and reaffirming their commitment to service excellence and sustainable tourism development.

The anniversary celebration was further enriched by captivating cultural dance performances that showcased Nepal’s vibrant traditions, diversity, and rich heritage, reflecting the country’s cultural pride and warm hospitality.

Vice Chairperson of NTB, Ram Prasad Sapkota, concluded the formal session by highlighting NTB’s strategic direction, collaborative partnerships with public and private stakeholders, and its continued commitment to positioning Nepal as a competitive, safe, and attractive global travel destination.

 

The programme was followed by a luncheon, providing an opportunity for interaction among tourism stakeholders, partners, and invited guests.

The 27th anniversary celebration stood as a proud reflection of NTB’s enduring journey, institutional unity, and renewed resolve to further strengthen Nepal’s tourism brand through partnership, innovation, and sustainable growth.
