The PATA Nepal Chapter, with 40 tourism and hospitality businesses from Nepal's private sector, actively participated in promoting and showcasing Nepal's renowned nature, adventure and culture

The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Nepal Chapter, in collaboration with 40 diverse tourism and hospitality businesses from Nepal's private sector, actively participated in promoting and showcasing Nepal's renowned nature, adventure, and culture at ITB Berlin 2024, held from March 5th to 7th at Messe Berlin, Germany.

ITB Berlin, the world's leading travel trade show, brought together global tourism industry buyers and trade visitors, featuring over 5,500 exhibitors from 170 countries. Oman, as the Official Host Country, captivated the audience during the opening event, highlighting Oman as an attractive tourism destination.

During the inaugural session of ITB Berlin 2024, H.E. Ram Kaji Khadka, the Ambassador of Nepal to Germany, inaugurated the Nepal Pavilion, extending congratulations and appreciation to PATA Nepal Chapter and the entire private sector in Nepal's tourism industry for ensuring a significant and impressive presence at the world's largest tourism promotion platform.

The Nepal Pavilion, with its Stupa-centered theme at Hall 5.2a Stand 127, showcased diverse products and services, including adventure operators, airlines, hotels, tour operators, mountaineering, trekking, and expedition operators, as well as medical and wellness enterprises, all providing transformative and unforgettable experiences in Nepal.

At ITB, PATA Nepal Chapter also promoted the Himalayan Travel Mart (HTM), Nepal's premier international travel and trade show, scheduled for its 5th edition from June 4th to 7th in Kathmandu. Hosted by the Ministry of Tourism and supported by various entities, HTM annually brings together global buyers, diverse sellers, travel bloggers, influencers, media, and travel industry professionals from around the world.

Mr. Bibhuti Chad Thakur, Chairman of PATA Nepal Chapter, expressed gratitude to all Nepalese exhibitors for their active participation at ITB Berlin 2024, emphasizing their crucial role in ensuring the success of Nepal's representation. He affirmed PATA Nepal's commitment to continuous tourism marketing and promotion, expressing joy in maintaining and promoting Nepal's image at one of the world's premier travel hubs.

Senior Tourism Professional, Mr. Bijaya Amatya, expressed satisfaction with Nepal's impressive presentation, acknowledging the high number of participants and the appealing stand decoration. He appreciated PATA Nepal's efforts and expressed optimism for the future growth of the travel business in Nepal.

Mr. Rupesh Joshi, Director of Sales and Marketing of Buddha Air, expressed gratitude to PATA Nepal and private sector participants for their contribution to the impressive presence at ITB 2024, despite limited government support this year.
