After a long weekday, who doesn’t want to spend their weekend having some exciting and fun activities? When the weekend arrives, the only activities that come to mind are watching movies and hanging out with friends in a restaurant, which are both exhausting and repetitive. We have compiled a list of activities that will really pump up your adrenaline and restore your vitality. 

The Best Archery

If you are ever influenced by the aiming things and sniper movies, The Best Archery might be the best place to enhance your interest. It is the first and only archery center in the valley located at Jhamsikhel, Lalitpur. You can go there whenever you have time between 7 am and 9 pm to shoot your arrows. It costs Rs 450 for 30 minutes per person and Rs 700 for an hour per person per session. Additionally, this location offers qualified teachers and experienced trainers who can walk you through the fundamentals of archery. 

Wall Climbing

If you have a taste for doing something crazy then Astrek Park is the best place for you. It is Nepal’s tallest wall climbing, standing 50 meters tall at the Astrek Complex in Thamel. It has twenty different routes to climb, ranging from beginner to professional. Professional trainers are on hand to guide newcomers and ensure their safety. The cost to enter the park is Rs 500 during the weekday (from 8 am to 4 pm), Rs 700 (from 4 pm to 8 pm), and Rs 700 on Saturday and Sunday. Also, a harness and supplementary pair of shoes are available to hire for Rs 100 and Rs 150 respectively. You can unwind at the pub with food and music after the hike. 

Ice Skating

Another enjoyable activity that you may perform during the weekend in Kathmandu is ice skating. Funland Nepal, Bhadrakali is one of the most incredible recreation centers in Nepal, offering ice skating for the first time. The place offers entertainment for all age groups of people.  You can also choose from alternatives like trampoline, mechanical rodeo, ninja warrior obstacle, wall climbing, and toddler in place of ice skating. It is open from 10 am to 8 pm on Sunday to Friday and from 10 am to 9 pm on Saturday. The price fares depend upon the time duration starting from Rs 1000 to Rs 1500. 

Zip-line

If you enjoy sports, being outdoors, being adventurous and other recreational activities, zipline is a great activity to add to the mix.  It is an extremely memorable experience, and for those who have never done it before, the first time truly is remarkable. The Zipline in Ghampe Danda, above Bhaktapur,  is an excellent location for an excellent view of the numerous Himalayan scenery’s.  The normal zipline (1.2km & 450m) costs Rs 3000 (long) and Rs 1500 (short) for people weighing less than 80kg. Similarly, the price for a couple’s zipline is Rs 4000 (long) for people weighing less than 125 kg.

Horse Riding

Horseback riding is a fantastic outdoor leisure activity for both physical and mental wellbeing. If you’ve always wanted to ride a horse, you can now do so at Flying Horse Pvt. Ltd., which is located at Dhapakhel Road directly across from the National Agriculture Center and GEMS School. For all those who are interested, the Flying Horse offers a half day, full day, and hour and thirty minutes packages. Even though horseback riding is fairly expensive, everyone should give it a shot at least once. Therefore, make sure you have a wallet full of cash before you visit there.
