Beanstalk Asia Nepal, along with Water Communication and Nepal Traveller, organized a two-day Nepal Hospitality Conclave, bringing together key players from the tourism industry. The event gathered policymakers, tourism entrepreneurs, hoteliers, investors, and experts to explore challenges, opportunities, and strategies to build a stronger and more resilient tourism sector in Nepal.
Supported by the Hotel Association Nepal (HAN), the Conclave was aligned with the Government of Nepal’s initiatives like declaration of 2025 as a ‘Special Tourism Year’ and the ‘Nepal Tourism Decade’‘
The event featured over 20 national and international panelists who discussed key topics such as marketing, destination development, investment, and necessary policy reforms to enhance Nepal’s tourism potential.
The Conclave was backed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Trade and Competitiveness project, along with various national and multinational organizations. Speaking at the event, USAID Nepal’s Deputy Mission Director, Karen Welch, emphasized , “USAID remains deeply committed to strengthening Nepal’s tourism sector through collaboration with the Government of Nepal, local communities, and businesses like yours. Our shared vision for Nepal is to maximize economic growth opportunities by expanding tourism offerings and boosting Nepal’s recognition as a top destination of choice for diverse market segments. In doing so, we are creating opportunities for communities across Nepal to prosper, ensuring that tourism’s benefits are inclusive and sustainable for future generations.”
HAN President Binayak Shah reiterated the importance of collaboration among stakeholders to advance tourism and reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to the sector.
The 2024 Hospitality Conclave marks a pivotal moment in forging a collaborative approach between the government and the private sector to drive inclusive economic growth through tourism in Nepal.
