The preparation of Bhaktapur's famous Bisket Jatra has been monitored under the leadership of the District Administration Office.
Bhaktapur Chief District Officer Khagendra Prasad Rizal, Assistant Pragya Madhav Prasad Sharma, Bhaktapur Municipality Chief Sunil Prajapati, Guthi Sansthan Bhaktapur Chief Khima Wali, Jatra Management Committee and other stakeholders related to the Jatra has been monitored.
During the monitoring, the condition of Bhairav, Bhadrakali chariot construction, the condition of necessary materials for the Jatra, the place where lingo is collected in Lysinkhel and the condition of the lingo, the preparation of the Jatra and the condition of the Jatra route were monitored.
All concerned have been instructed to remove the construction materials on the route of the Jatra, arrange the hanging wires of various internet and cable TVs on the Jatra route, not stop the electricity supply throughout the Jatra period, regulate the distribution of drinking water throughout the Jatra period, keep the hospital in a state of readiness, and arrange the CC cameras. The necessary preparations have been made to complete the Jatra peacefully and cheerfully without throwing stones this year.
On the other hand, the Madhyapurthimi Municipality has also discussed with the relevant agencies to ensure a peaceful and orderly Jatra, which will be celebrated for three days. In the program organized in the municipality, Mayor Surendra Shrestha has asked the heads of the relevant offices to ensure a regular supply of drinking water and electricity throughout the Jatra period.
Likewise, because unorganized wires of Internet companies cause disruption to the Jatra and damage to the umbrellas of the chariots during the Jatra causing loss of millions, the operators of the Internet and cable networks have been instructed to immediately manage such wires.
Wires hung on toll poles making the city ugly, pedestrians and motorcyclists got tangled in wires, and accidents were caused by such wires. A team has been formed in conjunction with the municipality to remove the wires, including various companies, internet and telecommunications providers, and the electricity authority. The team has started removing the wire today.
