NATTA is organizing the Second Intelligent International Travel Mart with the slogan "Explore the Buddhaland, Getaway to the Buddhist Circuit"

Nepal is a land of spiritual heritage and environmental adventure tourism, and the government is taking proactive steps to promote these aspects of the country to the world. The Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) is spearheading the effort to bring tourism back to pre-Covid levels, with a focus on Lumbini, the Buddhist land.

To this end, NATTA is organizing the Second Intelligent International Travel Mart with the slogan "Explore the Buddhaland, Getaway to the Buddhist Circuit" from May 11–13 in Lumbini. More than 35 travel and tour companies from China, Korea, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and India, as well as 828 Nepalese companies, will participate in the event. The program has been meticulously planned by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation under the chairmanship of the Ministry Secretary, in conjunction with the Nepal Tourism Board and NATTA as the program's implementing organization.

The event was inaugurated at Mayadevi Mandir Prajnan in Lumbini, and foreign guests were in attendance along with representatives of foreign travel and tour companies, Nepal Government officials, Nepal Tourism Board officials, NATTA member companies, presidents and representatives of tourism-related associations and organizations, and journalists. The event includes a seminar with working papers presented by foreign experts Prof. Dr. Max Deeg, Mr. Md. Mohiuddin Helal, Mr. Dr. Kiran Ajit Shinde, and Himalal Ghimire, which promotes the intellectual circuit, including Lumbini in Nepal.

The government believes that the event will help Nepali tour and travel companies and hoteliers increase business opportunities, attract more international tourists to Lumbini, and ultimately make Nepal a tourist hub. The upcoming Gautam Buddha International Airport, which is currently under construction in Bhairahawa, will also provide an impetus to the growth of the tourism industry.

This event will serve as a platform for networking and collaboration between Nepali and international tour and travel companies and hoteliers, which is expected to increase business opportunities and bring more international tourists to Nepal. It is believed that this event will help in the implementation of investments from Nepali travel and tour companies and hotel businessmen operating in Lumbini province and get publicity and returns. The government is committed to making Nepal a must-visit destination for spiritual heritage and environmental adventure tourism, and events like these are crucial steps in that direction.
